Ashton was so excited for Opa’s visit and couldn’t wait for him to help us select our big “green Christmas tree”. Besides helping pick out the tree, Gran and Opa lead the effort to bake and decorate holiday cookies. Ashton did a great job helping and only licked a couple of cookies. We continued a tradition from last year of going to the Seattle Center and watching the toy train, riding the carousel and laughing at the ice skaters. Again this year Ashton was in awe of the trains and couldn’t get enough of the carousel. He even thought the ice skating looked fun… perhaps we’ll try that next year.
On Christmas eve day we took a walk in the Ravenna ravine and we visited Santa’s reindeer grazing at Swanson’s Nursery.
