It was a snowy, winter, January weekend up in the Cascade mountains. The previous evening we experienced a few brief sticky snow shower at home which meant that conditions were perfect at higher elevations, so we checked it out on Sunday.
Ashton, Joe, mom and dad headed for Snoqualmie Pass with sledding in mind. The snow was still sprinkling down when we arrived. We quickly bundled up and headed for the trail. Ashton giggled with delight as we pulled his saucer down the path. This time, sledding was a lot more enjoyable than it was last year. We ate snow. Joe chased snowflakes. We sledded down a modest sized hill. And we met a snowman in the meadow. By the end of that morning, Ashton had so much fun he only wanted to be carried back to the car.
