We camped with our pals the Rhotens near Deception Pass, WA this mid-September weekend which was to be the final fair weather weekend of the season. Miles and Ashton took note of the blackberry bushes near the parked cars and spent a good portion of the weekend returning to them to grab another handful of their sweet ripening fruit.
The greatest challenge could very well be the effort it took to keep Micah and Emmett fairly clean. Crawling infants and camping appear to be in conflict if the goal is to keep the children from becoming completely covered in dirt.... not to mention the abundance of small objects that always found their way into the boys mouths.
The big brothers, Miles and Ashton, were very interested and helpful with setting up the campsite, building the campfire and making S'mores.
