We continued a tradition we started two years ago. One present may be opened on Christmas eve, and in it is always a new pair of pajamas. Ashton took charge of opening everyones presents while mom and dad held the twins during our visit with Mercer on Christmas Eve. Our other tradition for Christmas day is to stay in our pajamas all day long. We continued this again by wearing our pajamas to the hospital to visit Mercer on Christmas morning. The hospital staff got a big kick out of all of us and especially Ashton who looked like a real cowboy in his new pajamas and cowboy rain boots. A special treat was a visit from Santa who gave all of the boys a stuffed animal and had his picture taken with them.
Ashton made a special point of thanking Santa for all of his gifts. Santa seemed a little forgetful when Ashton pointed out the new boots he'd opened on Christmas morning. “Nice boots... where did you get those.” Santa replied. Ashton paused “From you, don't you remember?!!”
